dad's scanner broke down after 7 years of loyal service. the same with the harddrive of the old computer after 6 years of loyal service. my dad was fine with it and started looking for a new scanner, but my mom said getting a new scanner is gonna be another waste of money. apparently she cannot accept the fact that it's already a miracle that scanner could survive for 7 years; we brought that UMAX ASTRA2000p all the way from indonesia to the US when we moved here, inside a luggage, cushioned by a bunch of clothes. the PC with that 6 year-old harddrive was brought all the way here in a luggage as well. we had to put the drive in an anti-electrostatic bag, wrapped with anti-electrostatic wrapper.

i got a message left in my dA account by a canadian girl, and she ended the sentence with "..., hey?" this reminds me of an episode in that 70s show where eric hyde kelso leo and fez went to canada to buy beer, and ended up in a mountain rangers station because fez forgot where he put his greencard. they totally made fun of the canadian, because the two mountain rangers kept saying "hey? heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyy??" with some fucked up canadian accent. i guess canadians do say hey, hey?
