beauty, revealed

i've just thought of something nerdy to present to the whole discussion section tomorrow for humanities, so before my blood vein bursts, i'll stop thinking and do something fun.

tara and i made a frisbee today. she wanted to play frisbee and i had nothing to do, so we made one. materials needed are four paper plates stolen from plaza and a stapler stolen from clics. we played on the grassy area on revelle plaza for a little over half an hour and now my arms and legs are sore. wait until i wake up tomorrow morning. i need someone to give me a massage.

on the way to physics discussion, tara and i got into a heated argument on whether a guy who already has a girlfriend should give compliment to other girls or not. she said that if a guy has a gf, she alone must satisfy his desire for beauty, and that she has to be the most beautiful thing in this world for that particular guy. there should be no other thing, or person, that describes beauty, other than that girlfriend of his. i agree, that girlfriend should satisfy the guy's desire for anything, including but not limited to beauty. however, that does not necessarily mean that the guy should then be narrow-minded. what i mean by narrow-minded is this: imagine this guy walking around with a friend, another guy. then they pass by a girl who's really pretty. then his friend goes "damn she's pretty," and expects this guy to follow up on that comment. this is what tara and i disagree on: i think it's ok for the guy to follow up with "yeah, she is." but tara said that because the guy already has a girlfriend, he should either not make comment about that girl, or put his girlfriend above that girl. wouldn't that then just simply be a lie? i believe that one's girlfriend should be put above other girls, because not only she satisfies his thirst for beauty, but also everything else, such as love, attention, care, comfort, and the list goes on. however, being with someone should not deprive a person from giving someone else a well-deserved praise.
