day two and three

tara always complains that everytime she goes home to hollister, she gets bored out of her mind because there is nothing to do. myself, being an optimistic person, always replies her complaints with sentences along the lines of it-can't-be-that-bad-there-has-GOT-to-be-something.

and once more, nature proves me wrong. i went to hollister and there was literally nothing. only twelve miles of completely nothing, then a traffic light, and another six miles of... nothing.

stayed the night in san jose, where the rain never stops. i almost started to think that i drove 1500 miles too far and ended up in seattle instead. god must have designed the heaven such that all of the sewers and water drains end up in san jose.

went to kino today with ruru and ended up buying four more houshin engi manga. apparently SJ kino has volume 5, 6, 8, and 10, while SD kino has 7, 9, 11, and 12. now if i spend another $50 when i go back to san diego, i will have houshin engi from 1 to 12, with covers that connect and make one hella long spread.

currently in the library, stealing internet. it's a good thing i brought my umbrella along with me. and quarters, too. i've lost count of how many times i have had to park on metered spots.

went to see christmas in the park last night. it's interesting to notice that none of the cables got shorted and none of the trees got burned down even though all the cables were completely exposed to rain. i was prepared to see a tree light up in fire, but none did. disappointing. they also had mechanical pandas which could definitely use some good washing.

on to davis tomorrow. hope all goes well.
