O (k^2)

earlier today i had plenty of things going on in my mind, but for some reason i decided not to blog those thoughts. i told myself to go study for my physics midterms next week and blog it tonight.

tonight i'm sitting here trying to blog the thoughts i had earlier today, but i couldn't bring them back. they're gone, i have forgotten what i was going to write.

perturbation method perturbs me. heh, that's phunny. pun intended. and i hate transcedental equations. you know you're bound to get some really hard question on the midterm when one of your homework problems require you to expand a term in an equation using taylor expansion, just so that you can do some sick algebraic manipulation that will allow you to expand the resulting term using binomial expansion, only so that you will get a hideous equation, to which you have to perform two more expansions before you can do the hellish final algebraic manipulation that will let you get the answer.

nonlinear dynamics seems like a cool subject, but it's much much too painful to do.
