had a near death experience today.

david came back with dry ice again, and this time we decided to do it inside our own bathroom so the neighbors won't call the cops.

so we had a small bottle of crystal geyser, filled with some dry ice. our plan was to pour water in it, seal it with the cap, put it on the bathtub, and cover it with pretzel jar to contain the blast. that way we can watch it from close distance without getting hurt.

well, even a bio major, a chem major, and a physics major combined can be wrong.

the explosion was huge, and not only it shattered the crystal geyser bottle to pieces, it completely destroyed the pretzel jar as well. the explosion was deafening, and almost shattered our eardrums as well. i felt the pain jolted thru my ear straight to the brain, and for a few seconds i thought i was dead. i wasn't dead, but my ear felt like it was bleeding. i was deaf for a few minutes. it was scary.

the funny thing was, david and sam and i were all cracking up, even though we couldn't even hear our own laugh. as of now my ears are still hurting. i really hope i don't become completely deaf tomorrow morning.
