not even.
i really don't have much to say lately. not that i have much to doodle either. which made me think... what have i been doing lately?
life is funny like that. when you actually have things to do, you end up not doing them and have lots of sleep and free time. but when you don't have anything to do, you start looking for things to do, and end up being sleep deprived, which apparently is what has been happening lately. it is rather unfortunate that i have no recollection of what sort of things i actually did this entire week.
i have a tendency to not think when spending money, especially when it comes to one piece items or art stuff. i bought g-pen and maru-pen nibs from akadot because i heard they are the kind of nibs that mangaka use. i am still on my quest to find nibs that suit me, and i think the g- and maru- nibs have ended my search. they're not exactly what i like, but they're much better than the rest of the nibs i've used. this sena is a finished product of the testing.
another thing that i spend a lot of money on is laminating. maybe i should get myself a laminating machine, so that i don't feed kinkos with the money i get from teaching physics to biology kids. my birthday is in november. does anyone want to get me a laminating machine? the main reason i need a laminator is because i like to laminate stuff that i draw that's worth laminating. like these:
it's not that i think they're so good that they deserve to be laminated and put up on the wall; these are simply some of my work that i wish to not wither with time, or get smudged up when they're placed in a folder, because some of the shadings were done with pencils.
dave stahnke, a colleague of mine who also does physics at ucsd, were burning some songs onto CDs a few days ago. he then gave me a copy, one which he titled "PHYSICS 2006 SOUNDTRACK: MUSIC INDEPENDENT OF TIME."
silly dave, he forgot a wavefunction after the potential. we can't solve a schrodinger's equation like that; it's not homogeneous.
i have a manga i had been working on for a long time. not because it's long and hard and good, but mainly because i've been taking about a month or two of breaks everytime i finish a page. right now it's got 9 pages, and i will try to finish the tenth page whenever i feel like it (this will most likely mean another month or two). i also have a comic i'm currently making that's stealing eggy's eggylife layout, but i will not post these anywhere until i'm done... which won't be anytime soon, at the rate i am going.
taking a lab class, teaching four lab sections, and tutoring three different people is apparently a lot of work to do, especially in the span of a week. the fact that i've been waking up at 0730am this whole entire week didn't help either. yawn.
2.22 am now. i should really get started on making monday's comic.
